GRACE CHURCH THAME

SUNDAYS

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Our Sunday meetings provide a relaxed setting for you to explore who God is. It's also a great opportunity to meet new people.

Perhaps you don't have much experience of a church like ours. Don't worry because making you feel at home is important to us. We will try to explain everything as we go along because we remember what it was like the forst time we turned up.

To help you initially there are some elements that will be the same whenever you come:

  • A Friendly Welcome - From the moment you arrive we want you to feel at home, and everyone at Grace is keen to meet you.

  • Refreshments Before and After - Getting to know one another better is important to us so we provide plenty of time before and after the meeting for a chat over a good cup of tea or coffee. We also provide snacks!

  • Sung Worship - Usually, we begin with a time of singing songs of praise and worship. During this time we encourage people to join in in whatever way feels most comfortable.

  • Communion - At the end of the sung worship we take communion together to remember Jesus, who gave up his on the cross for us. There is no pressure for anyone to take part if they do not want to.

  • A Bible Talk - Afte the offering and some notices, someone will share a practical and relevant message from the Bible. This will usually last 25-30 mins. The verses will be displayed on the screen but you can bring your own Bible or use the Bible App if you prefer.

  • Participation - During the Sung worship some people may pray out loud, read a Bible verse, or share something they feel God wants to encourage us with.

  • Children's Groups - During the Sung worship, we provide activities for children that include games, singing and age appropriate teaching from the Bible.

The service usually finishes around 12pm and is followed with time for refreshments and chatting.
